Hi, I’m Reedik
I live on Saaremaa, an island off the west coast of Estonia, and I build for the web. It started in 2009 at Haapsalu College; my first real job was at the Tallinn agency Velvet in 2012, then came Swedbank and Bind Creative. Since 2019 I have worked under my own name.
I like things that are simple and that work. No extra layer in between, no meetings that could have been an email. You talk directly to me — the person who also writes the code.
These days I write code alongside an AI assistant. Routine work lands faster, which leaves more time for the part that actually matters: how the thing is meant to work, and whether it really works for you.

Away from the desk
In 2018 and 2019 I packed a backpack and worked my way through France, England, Scotland, Australia, Thailand, New Zealand and Spain. After all that it seemed clear that the best place was Saaremaa after all — so I moved back.

Online stores and payments
I build stores that hold up when the orders arrive all at once. Estonian payment providers, parcel machines and stock synchronisation come as part of the job, not as an afterthought.

Integrations, automation and dashboards
When data has to move between two systems, or the same manual work eats hours every week, it can usually be automated away. I build the interfaces, the background jobs, and the dashboards that make the numbers legible.

Rescue work and maintenance
The site is broken, slow, or the previous developer vanished without a trace. I review the code you have, tell you honestly what state it is in, and fix what is worth fixing.

How I got here
From Taritu school to Tallinn, out into the world and back to Saaremaa — the whole route on one page.
1997
Schoolboy
The road to knowledge started at Taritu school on Saaremaa.
2009–2012
Student
Three years behind a computer at Tallinn University Haapsalu College, falling for programming. Applied higher education, bachelor level.
2012
Programmer
Diploma in hand, I moved to Tallinn and landed an internship at Velvet, one of the finest agencies around, who turned a student into a professional.
2012–2013
Corporal
The Estonian Defence Forces called in between — eleven months with the Guard Battalion.
2013–2015
Web developer
Service done, I wanted to see how things work inside Estonia’s largest bank. My time at Swedbank was as instructive as it was enjoyable.
2015–2019
Programmer
With the Bind Creative crew there was both sweat and tears — big projects and good trips in equal measure.
2018–2019
Traveller
I packed a backpack and worked my way through a few countries: France, England, Scotland, Australia, Thailand, New Zealand and Spain. The code kept shipping along the way.

Good to know
The questions that come up most often in a first email.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. I am based on Saaremaa and work remotely across Estonia and beyond. We talk by email, phone and video call, and I can meet in person in Tallinn or Kuressaare when it helps. I have spent years building for clients in Australia and France, so a time zone is not an obstacle.
What does a website cost?
It depends on scope: a presentation site, an online store with integrations, and a web application are three very different jobs. That is why every project starts with a short conversation, after which I send a free quote with a fixed scope and a schedule — so there are no surprises along the way.
Can you take over an existing website?
I can. I take over both WordPress and code-first sites, including ones with no documentation and no way to reach the previous developer. I start with an audit of the code, the hosting, the security and the speed, and tell you honestly whether repairing or rebuilding makes more sense.
Will I be able to edit the content myself?
Yes — that is a given on every project. Usually I use WordPress, because it is the content management system people in Estonia already know, but code-first builds can be edited too. At the end of every project I walk you through it and leave a short guide behind.
Do you also do design?
I do. On smaller projects I design the site myself — clean, clear and readable, working as well on a phone as on a large screen. If you already have a designer or a brand book, I build precisely to that.
Which languages do you build sites in?
Estonian and English are everyday work for me. Multilingual sites are a routine request: I set up the language switching, the translation fields, and the correct hreflang markup for search engines. Translation of the content itself can be arranged with a translator.
How soon can you start?
I usually reply to email within one working day. Smaller jobs and rescue work can often start the same week; for a larger project we agree a start date, typically two to four weeks out.
What happens after handover?
Support covers fixing anything that breaks from WordPress and plugin updates at no extra charge, and I stay reachable by email and phone. The code and the access credentials are yours — you can move to another developer at any point.
